🎯 Hook: The Chiefs Trap
Last week, the Kansas City Chiefs won their game by 21 points. They looked unstoppable. Patrick Mahomes threw 4 touchdowns.
This week, they're playing again. The line is Chiefs -3.5.
Your brain says: "Bet the Chiefs! They're on fire!"
You bet $200 on the Chiefs. They lose by 10.
What happened?
Your brain saw one dominant performance and convinced you it was a pattern. You ignored:
- They were playing a terrible team last week
- This week's opponent is much stronger
- The line already accounts for recent performance
This is a cognitive bias. And it cost you $200.
